• I-66 Widening project is adding an additional travel lane along approximately four miles of EB I-66 in Fairfax and Arlington County in Northern Virginia. 

• Design-build team of Lane Construction Corp. and Rinker Design Associates, P.C. is using FGA as part of this $85.7 million construction project in unique sound wall application.

• 9,400-feet of new noise walls are non-structural and thus, lightweight fill was needed between the roadway barrier and the noise wall to minimize the lateral earth pressures on the walls.

• UL-FGA was used as fill up against the new noise walls bordering I-66.
