• Construction of Camden’s first hotel project in more than a half-century: an eight-story, 180-guest-room hotel at 1 Penn Street, just north of the American Water Works Co.’s newly opened headquarters building.

• $50.4 million total project cost.

• Site is located adjacent to the Delaware River over soft soils.

• UL-FGA was used under the ground floor slab as lightweight fill, drainage, capillary break, and insulation layer.  Superstructure of building was on deep foundations.  Approximately 2-3 feet of fill was needed to bring up the ground floor slab elevation to be above the 100-year flood plain.
